"예수께서 이르시되 나는 생명의 떡이니 내게 오는 자는 결코 주리지 아니할 터이요 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 목마르지 아니하리라"

이 구절은 예수님께서 가르치신 가장 유명한 말씀 중 하나입니다. 예수님께서는 자신을 "생명의 떡"이라고 말씀하시며, 자신에게 오는 사람은 결코 주리지 않고, 자신을 믿는 사람은 영원히 목마르지 않을 것이라고 말씀하십니다.

이 말씀을 육신적인 차원에서 해석할 수도 있습니다. 예수님께서 물고기와 떡을 5,000명에게 나누어주신 기적을 통해 이미 예수님께서는 육신의 배고픔을 해결해 주시는 분이심을 보여주셨습니다. 따라서 예수님께 오는 사람은 육신의 배고픔을 해결받을 수 있다는 의미로 해석할 수 있습니다.

하지만 이 말씀은 더 깊은 의미를 담고 있습니다. 예수님께서는 영적인 차원의 배고픔과 목마름을 해결해 주시는 분이십니다. 인간은 영적인 존재이기 때문에, 육신의 배고픔과 목마름뿐만 아니라, 영적인 배고픔과 목마름도 느낍니다. 영적인 배고픔과 목마름이란, 하나님과의 관계가 단절된 상태에서 느끼는 영혼의 허전함과 갈증입니다.

이러한 영적인 배고픔과 목마름을 해결해 주시는 분이 예수님이십니다. 예수님께 오는 사람은 예수님을 통해 하나님과의 관계를 회복하게 됩니다. 예수님을 믿는 사람은 예수님 안에서 영원한 생명을 얻게 됩니다.

오늘날 우리는 많은 물질적 풍요를 누리고 있지만, 그럼에도 불구하고 영적인 배고픔과 목마름을 느끼는 사람들이 많습니다. 이러한 영적인 배고픔과 목마름을 해결하기 위해서는 예수님께 나아가야 합니다. 예수님께 나아가면, 예수님을 통해 하나님과의 관계를 회복하게 되고, 영원한 생명을 얻게 됩니다.


말씀 묵상을 위한 질문: 

1) 예수님께서 "생명의 떡"이라고 하신 의미는 무엇이라고 생각하나요? 당신의 삶에서 예수님은 어떤 의미로 다가오시나요?

2) 육신의 배고픔과 영적인 배고픔을 비교해 보세요. 두 가지 배고픔을 채우기 위해 당신은 어떤 선택을 하고 있나요?

3) 예수님을 믿고 따를 때, 영적인 갈증이 해소된 경험이 있나요? 있다면 그 경험은 당신의 신앙 생활에 어떤 영향을 주었나요?

기도합시다: 

하나님 아버지, 주님께서 우리에게 주신 생명의 떡인 예수 그리스도를 찬양합니다. 예수님을 통해 영적인 배고픔과 목마름을 채워 주셔서 감사합니다. 우리가 항상 주님을 신뢰하고, 주님 안에서 영원한 생명을 누리게 하소서. 우리의 마음과 영혼이 주님 안에서 평안을 찾기를 기도합니다. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Meditation on Pastor Kim’s words] John 6:35 Meditation

"I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

This verse is one of Jesus' most famous teachings. Jesus calls himself "the bread of life" and says that whoever comes to him will never go hungry, and whoever believes in him will never be thirsty.

This verse can be interpreted in a physical sense. Jesus has already shown that he can satisfy physical hunger by miraculously feeding 5,000 people with bread and fish. Therefore, it can be interpreted as meaning that whoever comes to Jesus will have their physical hunger satisfied.

However, this verse also has a deeper meaning. Jesus is the one who satisfies spiritual hunger and thirst. Humans are spiritual beings, so we experience not only physical hunger and thirst, but also spiritual hunger and thirst. Spiritual hunger and thirst is the emptiness and thirst of the soul that we feel when our relationship with God is broken.

Jesus is the one who satisfies this spiritual hunger and thirst. Whoever comes to Jesus will be restored to a relationship with God through Jesus. Whoever believes in Jesus will receive eternal life in Jesus.

Today, even though we enjoy a lot of material abundance, there are many people who still feel spiritual hunger and thirst. In order to satisfy this spiritual hunger and thirst, we must come to Jesus. If we come to Jesus, we will be restored to a relationship with God through Jesus, and we will receive eternal life.

Today, as I meditated on John 6:35,

* I believe that Jesus is the true bread of life.
* I will come to Jesus to satisfy my spiritual hunger and thirst.
* I will receive eternal life through believing in Jesus.
