Kim Pastor's Word Column] Title: Seeing is Believing
“My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.” (Job 42:5)
Job 42:5 is a powerful verse that speaks to the importance of seeing God with our own eyes. In the Old Testament, people often heard about God through the words of prophets and priests. But Job was different. He had a personal encounter with God, and this encounter changed his life forever.
After losing everything he had, Job was angry and confused. He didn't understand why God would allow such suffering. But then God spoke to him from a whirlwind, and Job's eyes were opened. He saw God's power and majesty, and he realized that God was far greater than he had ever imagined.
Job's experience teaches us that there is a difference between hearing about God and seeing God. When we hear about God, we can only understand him with our minds. But when we see God, we understand him with our hearts. And when we see God, our faith is transformed.
If you're struggling to believe in God, I encourage you to ask God to show himself to you. He may not do it in the way you expect, but he will show himself to you in a way that you can understand. And when you see God, your faith will be transformed. -Jinju Full Church.
