Romans 12:19 "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord."

This verse is a reminder that revenge is not the answer. When we take revenge, we are essentially saying that we are the ones who are right and the other person is wrong. But this is not true. We are all sinners, and we all deserve God's judgment.

Instead of taking revenge, we should leave it to God. He is the ultimate judge, and he will always do what is right. We can trust that he will avenge us if it is necessary.

In the meantime, we should focus on forgiveness. Forgiveness is not about condoning what the other person did. It is about letting go of our anger and bitterness. When we forgive, we are free to move on with our lives.

Forgiveness is not easy, but it is the right thing to do. It is the way of Christ. If we want to follow his example, we must learn to forgive those who have wronged us.

로마서 12장 19절 "내 사랑하는 자들아, 너희가 친히 원수를 갚지 말고 하나님의 진노하심에 맡기라. 기록되었으되 원수 갚는 것이 내게 있으니 내가 갚으리라고 주님께서 말씀하시니라"

이 구절은 복수가 답이 아님을 일깨워줍니다. 우리가 복수하려고 할 때 본질적으로 우리가 옳고 다른 사람이 그르다고 말하는 것입니다. 그러나 이것은 사실이 아닙니다. 우리는 모두 죄인이며 모두 하나님의 심판을 받아 마땅합니다.

복수하지 말고 하나님께 맡겨야 합니다. 그분은 궁극적인 재판관이시며 항상 옳은 일을 하실 것입니다. 필요하다면 그분이 우리에게 복수하실 것이라고 믿을 수 있습니다.

그동안 우리는 용서에 집중해야 합니다. 용서는 상대방이 한 일을 용서하는 것이 아닙니다. 분노와 비통함을 버리는 것입니다. 우리가 용서할 때 우리는 자유롭게 우리의 삶을 계속할 수 있습니다.

용서는 쉽지 않지만 옳은 일입니다. 그리스도의 길입니다. 우리가 그분의 본을 따르려면 우리에게 잘못한 사람을 용서하는 법을 배워야 합니다.
