In the depths of despair, amidst the darkest of times, a cry for help pierces through the silence, a plea for divine intervention. Psalm 22:19 echoes with this heartfelt entreaty, "But you, O LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me."

The psalmist, surrounded by enemies and overwhelmed by life's burdens, feels abandoned and alone. Yet, in the face of such desolation, a flicker of faith remains, a lifeline to the divine. The psalmist turns to God, the source of strength and refuge, acknowledging God's power to deliver and restore.

The phrase "do not be far from me" is a poignant reminder of our inherent need for connection, for a divine presence that transcends the boundaries of physical reality. It speaks to the human longing for a relationship with something greater than ourselves, a bond that offers solace and guidance in the face of adversity.

김목사의 오늘 칼럼] 황폐에서 희망으로: 시련 속에서 힘을 찾으라

절망의 구렁텅이에서 나는 "여호와여 멀리 하지 마옵소서 나의 힘이시여 속히 나를 도우소서"라고 부르짖습니다. (시편 22:19). 이 구절은 우리가 종종 압도적인 도전과 불확실성과 씨름하는 자신을 발견하는 현대 세계에 깊이 울려 퍼집니다.

삶의 시련은 우리를 버림받은 느낌, 절망의 바다에서 길을 잃은 느낌으로 남겨둘 수 있습니다. 그러나 가장 어두운 순간에도 희망의 빛이 있습니다. 우리가 인내할 수 있는 위안과 힘을 찾을 수 있는 것은 우리의 믿음, 더 높은 권능에 대한 흔들리지 않는 믿음을 통해서입니다.

시편 필자가 하나님께 부르짖었던 것처럼 우리도 우리보다 더 큰 근원에 손을 뻗음으로써 위로를 얻을 수 있습니다. 역경의 시기에 우리는 우리의 믿음에 의지하고 우리의 이해력을 넘어서는 능력을 신뢰해야 함을 상기합니다.

인생의 폭풍우를 헤쳐 나갈 때 시편 22편 19절의 말씀에 고착하고 하나님의 능력이 결코 멀리 있지 않다는 지식에서 위안을 찾도록 합시다. 이러한 확신을 가지고 우리는 결코 혼자가 아님을 알고 새로운 희망을 가지고 시련에 맞설 수 있습니다.

우리의 분쟁 중에서도 황폐함을 딛고 일어나 힘을 얻기 바랍니다. 우리의 믿음이 더 밝은 날로 우리를 인도할 것임을 깨닫기를 바랍니다.. -진주충만
