그러나 축복의 약속은 공허한 약속이 아닙니다. 그것은 우리가 하나님의 음성에 순종하느냐에 달려 있습니다. 이는 진정한 번영과 행복은 일시적인 추구에서 발견되는 것이 아니라 우리 자신을 성령의 뜻에 일치시키는 데서 발견된다는 점을 상기시키는 행동 촉구입니다.

그러면 우리를 기다리는 이 축복은 무엇입니까? 신명기에는 계속해서 물질적인 풍요뿐 아니라 영적인 부와 평화와 안전도 포함하는 수많은 사람들의 이름이 나옵니다. 그것은 우리 삶의 모든 측면에 영향을 미치고 우리의 관계, 직업, 그리고 가장 깊은 목적의식을 풍요롭게 하는 축복입니다.

하지만 이러한 축복을 받으려면 노력이 필요합니다. 이는 진실성, 동정심, 봉사의 삶을 살겠다는 헌신을 요구합니다. 그것은 사리사욕보다 정의를 선택하고, 원한보다 용서를 선택하는 것을 의미합니다. 그것은 우리의 결의를 시험하고, 우리를 편안한 영역 너머로 밀어내고, 우리 자신의 최고 버전이 되도록 촉구하는 여정입니다.

그러나 그 보상은 헤아릴 수 없을 정도입니다. 순종의 길을 걸을 때 우리는 세상적인 관심사를 초월하는 기쁨과 내적 평화의 원천을 발견합니다. 우리는 믿음과 사랑으로 연합된 같은 생각을 가진 사람들의 공동체에 둘러싸여 있습니다. 우리는 긍정적인 변화의 도구가 되어 다른 사람들의 삶에 영향을 미치고 선한 유산을 남깁니다.
