"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;"

This verse is part of a larger passage in which Paul is writing about the hardships he and the other Christians in Corinth were facing. He says that they are "hard pressed on every side" by troubles, but they are not "crushed." They are "perplexed," but they are not "in despair."

Paul's words here offer us a powerful reminder that even when we are facing difficult times, we do not have to give up hope. We can still find strength and courage to persevere, even when we feel overwhelmed.

The key to this is to remember that our hope is not in this world, but in the eternal life that we have through Jesus Christ. When we fix our eyes on the eternal, we can see that our current troubles are only temporary. They cannot compare to the glory that awaits us in heaven.
